Stacey Abrams Is Not Running For President But She Is Doing This

Abrams says the multi-million dollar program will staff and fund voter registration teams in 20 battleground states ahead of next year’s Presidential election.

Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams first became a household name while running for Governor of Georgia. If she would have won she would have become the first African American to hold that title in the U.S. It was a very close race.

Since then people have been hinting or calling on her to run for President in 2020. Last night she announced while at a labor union convention in Las Vegas that she will not be running for President of the United States in 2020 but she will be launching a new multi-state voter protection initiative. It’s called “Fair Fight 2020”.

Some say that Abrams decision not to run for President leaves the door open for her to possibly become a vice presidential pick as well as a possible rematch for Georgia Governor against Brian Kemp in 2022.
