“Don’t Mute DC” Three Years Later

It is the sound that is so DC.  TheGo-Go syncopated beat, born and raised in Chocolate City.  But it was also the rallying cry for a cultural protest three years ago named “Don’t Mute DC”, after new-comers to the quickly gentrifying U-Street corridor complained about local business playing it.  There is a new battle brew in the district now.  What is it and where is the “Don’t Mute DC” movement now?
