Go-Go In The Shaw Community #DONTMUTEDC

Supporters of Go-Go discuss the silencing of the music at the electronics store in the Shaw community.

Activists continue draw attention to the issue of Go-Go music being silenced in the Shaw community.  Tuesday night a rally was held at 14th and U Streets… the heart of the entertainment district.  For the first time in nearly 25 years you don’t hear Go-Go outside at 7th street and Florida Avenue, NW.  Don Campbell, the owner of the Central Communications store… also known as the Metro PCS store was forced to stop playing DC’s homegrown musical genre last month.  We’re looking at the issue and what it means.
