Kevin Ward, the new mayor of the City of Hyattsville committed suicide last night. City officials say the 44-year-old, husband and father of two… died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Just this week it was revealed that Ian Alexander, Jr., the 26-year-old son of actress Regina King committed suicide on January 21st, just two days after his birthday. Once again we find ourselves having the difficult and important conversation about suicide and mental health in our community.
