“We will not be able to see Gigi go to high school,” Vanessa Bryant said, her voice breaking. “We didn’t get the chance to teach her how to drive a car. I won’t be able to tell her how gorgeous she looks on her wedding day. … Gigi would have most likely become the best player in the WNBA. She would have made a huge difference for women’s basketball.”

The Recording Academy announced Thursday that “Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince” will tape at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Jan. 28, two days after the 62nd annual Grammy Awards. The show will air on CBS later in the year.

“Some people may think of the word underdog as a negative word but I see it as a powerful word representing people who may be underestimated and yet still rise to the challenge and exceed expectations.”

Hip Hop powerhouse, Jay-Z held an inaugural gala to support his Shawn Carter Foundation. The event raised millions and brought celebrities together to support the cause.

 “At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host.”

Walk of Famer and committee member Vanessa Williams made the announcement alongside Rana Ghadban, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Entertainers can be recognized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the five categories: motion pictures, television, recording, live performance and radio.

“I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I’m going to bring that vibe and energy,” said Keys. “I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and, magic. I’m especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year! It’s going ‘UP’ on February 10!”
