Congratulations to all!!

Legendary producer Pharrell Williams’ non profit, Black Ambition, has open applications again for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs to win up to $1 million. 

Williams, a recording artist and producer who’s from the city, proposed the tribute in an Instagram post this week, adding a photo of what the message would look like along Virginia Beach’s boardwalk with the caption “VB let’s make it happen.”

For Swizz Beatz and Timbaland — Grammy-winning legends in their own rights — hosting a friendly competition while fans and artists are homebound due to the coronavirus was about giving back to the people.

“Virginia has been home to some of the most gifted artists, athletes, and scientists to ever live. And it makes sense — the people of Virginia are one-of-a-kind: uniquely gritty, bold, and brilliant,” Pharrell said. “Virginia needs this right now and the world will see what we Virginians have known all along: there really is Something in the Water.”
