Mariah Carey, The Isley Brothers and Pharrell are among the names of artists that were inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame last week.

“It’s a word that you guys are sick of hearing all night, but I’m honored .. I don’t know what else to say beyond that, because I didn’t expect this,” Pharrell said to reporters on the red carpet at the time.

The songwriters Hall of Fame said Mariah Carey, who wrote ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Butterfly’ has a “truly inspiring” catalog.

The Isley Brothers, who have a lengthy catalog of songs recognized around the world, were also inducted. According to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Isley Brothers have been sampled by over 900 artists.
