After being sentenced to 20 years in prison for child pornography and enticement of minors for sex back in February, R. Kelly has been moved from a Chicago correctional center to a medium-security prison in North Carolina.

R. Kelly recently received a 20-year jail sentence in Chicago for his federal sex offenses prosecution.

Trial is now more than three weeks long.

She testified on Wednesday that it was a ploy meant to shield Kelly.

She also testified Tuesday that he kept watch over them during an interview with Gayle King, coughing as a signal to keep them on script.

R. Kelly seeks to shake up defense team ahead of NYC trial

R. Kelly prosecutors requested an extension as they could not adequately review hundreds of seized devices before deadline, trial now set for October 13.

Thursday’s arraignment could be an opportunity for prosecutors to offer additional details about the new accuser and her allegations against the Grammy Award-winning artist.

Azriel Clary has officially separated from R. Kelly and is seeking counseling in order to heal from the trauma she’s endured.

“She came to me and attacked me and I had to defend myself,” the 22-year-old told police, alleging that Savage hit her with her hands and her phone and tried to kick her, as well.

The women were separated and when officers arrived, the 22-year-old woman told them that she and Savage had an argument that became physical when the older woman allegedly hit her in the face.

A day later, Kelly, then 27, married Aaliyah in a secret ceremony he arranged at a hotel in Chicago. The marriage was annulled months later because of her age. Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001 at age 22.

“I think you get to see a different side of it than somebody who sees it from the outside and gets to see the glitz and glam. I got to see the hell part of it,” said 21-year-old Abi, born Joann Kelly, in a recent interview with The Associated Press. “I didn’t want to be in the industry.”

Clary and Savage reportedly plan to continue to support their man and build an empire in the meantime.

“You are almost better off asking what’s not different for him, the situation is like night and day,” said Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor in Chicago. “R. Kelly is now facing an array of challenges that he wasn’t facing years ago and the resources the federal government can bring to bear far exceed anything he faced in state court.”

A judge is expected to rule on whether Kelly can be released on bond in the Chicago indictment before facing the New York charges. Prosecutors want Kelly to remain in federal custody, where he’s been since his arrest Thursday, because they say he’s dangerous and a flight risk.

He was arrested after the indictment was handed down earlier Thursday in federal court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Chicago federal court on Tuesday afternoon.

The plaintiff is one of four accusers in a separate criminal case . The suit was filed just before Kelly was charged in February with criminal sexual abuse. He denies ever abusing anyone.

“They are the same conduct, just charged differently,” Greenberg said. “Same alleged victim, same timeframe, same facts.”

“He’s not a deadbeat dad,” Kelly’s attorney Lisa Damico told reporters after Wednesday’s hearing, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. “All he wants to do is do right by his kids.”

The singer’s lead attorney, Steve Greenberg, said in comments to reporters and a court filing that Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx relied way too much on Avenatti in deciding in late February to bring charges against Kelly, saying Avenatti’s involvement irreparably tainted the case.
