DC FEDERAL TAKEOVER: LEGAL AND COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE

AP Trump 8 11 1

We continue our coverage of the federal takeover of the District of Columbia. National Guard troops are officially on the streets of DC along with federal agents. City leader say the action is unnecessary and, in fact, call it dangerous. But even as DC officials cry foul, President Trump is doubling down calling DC crime ridden and out of control. So as more officers and agents take to the streets of Washington, what can and can’t they do. Plus, what are your legal rights if you are stopped by an officer, guard, or agent? We are hitting this issue from all sides. We have legal experts and community activists to help us get beyond fear and confusion to knowledge.
