A woman is in critical condition after being shot in the head while in the parking lot of the Valero gas station at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Ames Street in the District. The shooting happened around 4 o’clock today. Police have a person in custody.
Also, District police are investigating a shooting on Franklin Street Northeast that left one man dead and two others injured. Police say the shooting took place around 1:30 this afternoon. Police say they have made repeated drug arrests near a small grocery store located close to the shooting.

Monday, a man was shot and killed on Franklin Street in Northeast DC, while a woman was critically stabbed near Minnesota Avenue.
