Legendary actor Donald Sutherland has died. Sutherland’s work includes originating the role of Hawkeye Pierce in the film version of “M.A.S.H.,” as well as roles in “The Hunger Games,” “Kelley’s Heroes,” and “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.”
The actor’s son, Kiefer Sutherland, confirmed the news on X. “I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film,” Kiefer wrote. “Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that.”
Donald Sutherland was 88.
