We’re talking about girls. From the very young ones, all the way up to the ones standing at the threshold of adulthood. Along that journey, who takes care of them, protects them, motivates them, mentors them, and inspires them when their homelife or their community experiences fall short? This conversation is about an organization that has stood in the gap and continues to help girls find themselves and their voices. For more than ten years, the Girls Who Brunch Tour has been a clarion call for Black girls who need a little… or a lot of help navigating the turbulent seas of life. It’s also the focus of the Lifetime movie, “Giving Hope: The Ni’Cola Mitchell Story”, now streaming on Netflix.
