Six years ago next week, George Floyd was murdered on a Minneapolis, Minnesota street by a Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin kneeled on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes, asphyxiating him. In addition Chauvin’s federal and state convictions, three other officers were convicted in federal and state courts of aiding and abeiting. Last September, the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act was reintroduced my democratic Congressman Glenn Ivey from Maryland’s 4th Congressional District. We discuss that and a whole host of other issues in his district and on Capitol Hill.
