(Thursday, January 25, 2024) – Alexandria police are asking for the public’s help in locating the parents or guardians of this toddler. Police say the child was dropped off last night around 9:45 by an unknown person at 8 South Van Dorn Street and was found safe and unharmed. The little girl is now in the custody of Child Protective Services. The incident is being treated as a case of child abandonment. Anyone with information about the toddler is asked to call 911.
