SHMS Annual Turkey Giveaway: 1500 Thanksgiving Turkeys Gifted To Ward 8 Residents

Doing Good In the Neighborhood — WHUR, the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shabach Ministries, Inc., Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White, US Coast Guard, Metropolitan Police Department, Johnson Middle School, Union Temple Baptist Church, and a host of others helped to pack and donate 1,500 turkeys and bags of food to feed needy families in Ward 8, the poorest community in DC.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make this event a success. Now a few more DC families can enjoy a hot Thanksgiving Day meal with loved ones.
