A week after the body of a missing Georgia teen was found, a police officer has been arrested in connection with her murder. Miles Bryant, an officer with the Doraville Police Department, was taken into custody Monday and charged with concealing the death of another and false report of a crime, authorities say.

Although investigators haven’t revealed the circumstances surrounding Susana Morales’ death, Bryant’s arrest warrant says he “lives in close proximity to the victim and dumped her naked body in the woods.” Morales, 16, was last seen on July 26th about a half-mile from her home, police have said.

The search for the teen continued until last week when her body was discovered near the Barrow County line, more than 20 miles from the area in which she was last seen. It’s unclear if Morales and Bryant knew each other prior to her death. “Now we know, we know something,” says Morales’ sister, Jasmine. “We are just hoping everything will come to light soon.”
