One year ago this month, the DC Council passed the Robert F. Kennedy Campus Redevelopment Act. The bill designed to bring the Washington Commanders back to DC with a new stadium and 180 acres of development. This will be the largest development in the history of the city. Even bigger than the 146 acres of the National Mall between the U.S. Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial. Even if you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan, the promise of this development is exciting. And yet, for the people living in Ward 7, Ward 8, even Ward 6, questions remain about what this will mean for them when the project is completed in 2030. We take a look at some of the questions even as the project is underway.
