Today on “Around the DMV in 15” we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Monica Goldson, the newly appointed CEO of the Prince George’s County Public School System. Goldson is a 3-time HBCU graduate that attended Florida A&M, Bowie State, and Howard University.

Goldson has dedicated her entire career to PGCPS. She started out as a teacher in the school system and quickly moved into a position of leadership within the educational community. She shared her plans for the state’s second-largest school system which included protecting students from sexual predators, finding skilled teachers, and increasing pay for educators.
