Kanye West is having dome-like structures built on a property in Calabasas, which will eventually become a housing community. TMZ captured photos of the structures being built and reported that these are the prototypes for West’s housing project.

It was revealed earlier this month in an interview with Forbes Magazine that West had the plans for low-income housing in the works. The Forbes cover star also revealed that his inspiration was Star Wars character, Luke Skywalker’s childhood home.

“West has been working with a team to design prefabricated structures that sport the same austere aesthetic, with the goal of deploying them as low-income housing units,” the article states.

Luke Skywalker’s childhood home also had the dome shape that these prototypes resemble. Construction crews currently are working on the prototype structures and each stands at about 50 feet high.

TMZ reports that the project is still in an early state but Kanye plans on making it “dynamic.”

In the meantime, if you would like to stay in Luke Skywalker’s actual childhood home, you now can! For around USD$20 a night, you can stay in the actual cave dwelling that was used as Luke Skywalker’s childhood home in the Star Wars movies. The Hotel Sidi Driss, as it is named, is located in the small Berber village of Matmata in Tunisia.
