Afghan Refugees To Live At Quantico

The base says it can support up to fifty-thousand evacuees.

(Triangle, VA) — Marines are preparing the Marine Corps Base Quantico to house Afghan refugees. Marines are cleaning the facility before welcoming the refugees upon their arrival at Dulles International Airport. The housing at Quantico is part of Operation Allies Refuge, a joint effort of the Department of Defense, the U.S. Northern Command, the Department of State and Homeland Security. The base says it can support up to fifty-thousand evacuees with transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support.
