Everyone loves a good movie! And Black moviegoers are no exception. While we know about the Black names and personalities that grace the silver screen, we may not know as much about those who make movies possible. There are some household names that have been part of the creative conversation. Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, Ryan Coogler, just to name a few, but what about the next generation of Black actors and filmmakers? How are they making their way into the business of Tinseltown entertainment. That’s the focus of the 4th annual HBCU First Look Film Festival, now underway at Howard University. So grab your popcorn and Jujubes. We get a sneak peek at how these young people are breaking into the film industry.
