Oath Keepers Leader Sentenced

So far, about one-thousand people have been arrested in connection with the attack on the Capitol.

(Washington, DC) — The Texas man who helped orchestrate the January 6th Capitol Riot will be spending the next 18 years in prison. Stewart Rhodes led a far-right wing militia called The Oath Keepers. He was found guilty of seditious conspiracy for trying to stop Congress from approving the results of the 2020 election. During today’s sentencing, Rhodes tried to claim that he is a political prisoner. The 58-year old said his only crime was opposing those who he felt were destroying the country. So far, about one-thousand people have been arrested in connection with the attack on the Capitol. Hundreds more cases are in the works.
