Pfizer to Seek FDA Approval for 2nd Booster

Persons 65 and older may need to get a 2nd COVID booster shot

Washington, D.C. (Tuesday, March 15, 2022) – Millions of Americans may need to roll up their sleeves again to keep COVID at bay.  Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer reportedly plans to seek FDA approval for a second booster shot for persons 65 and older.

The move is designed to beef-up waning immunity against the coronavirus that apparently occurs several months after the first booster.

Meantime, reports indicate the Food and Drug Administration plans to convene outside advisors early next month to mull over whether or not there should be an October or November campaign to push for all adults to get additional boosters.
