There have been James Bond rumors swirling around with Idris Elba’s name for years.

Idris Elba, English actor in HBO’s ‘The Wire’ and Nelson Mandela in ‘A Long Walk to Freedom’, will now focus on his music career.

“You know, everyone’s sort of feeling the way we have been feeling, but it has definitely been sort of just a complete upheaval,” he told The Associated Press late last week.

“As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” Cohen wrote.

Legend is currently a coach on the hit-show, ‘The Voice,’ and just released the new deluxe edition of his holiday album A Legendary Christmas.

Idris Elba’s semi-autobiographical series has been available in the UK since March of 2018 and in November it will be available in the US on Starz.

Some have speculated that the “Luther” star would make the perfect Bond. Elba says although Bond is a coveted, beloved character that he would be fascinated to play, he doesn’t need to put himself in the position of questioning whether a stint as Bond did or didn’t work “because of the color of my skin.”

The bride wore custom gowns by Vera Wang. For the ceremony, she wore a classic white off shoulder gown and later changed into an embroidered dress with pearls and gemstones. Elba wore a bespoke suit by Ozwald Boateng.
