During her upcoming tour, Winfrey will talk about her wellness journey with attendees and help develop their 2020 action plan. She will also share the latest in wellness research and interactive workbook exercises.

“I was told by my news director and the general manager that because I was a single woman who didn’t have a mortgage and didn’t have kids, I wasn’t entitled to earn as much as the man sitting next to me,” Winfrey said. “They didn’t know my value but I knew my value.”

“I’m joining forces with Apple,” declared Winfrey. “They’re in a billion pockets, y’all.”

“Becoming” describes Obama’s upbringing on Chicago’s South Side and her transition to college at Princeton University. As she does in her book, she recounted Tuesday being raised in a family that struggled economically — but with parents who encouraged her to be successful.
