This year has proven to be full of excitement for actress and entrepreneur Taraji P. Henson, who has now added an affordable body care line to her latest ventures. 

On Thursday, actress Taraji P. Henson announced being appointed to the Presidential HBCU Board of Advisors. 

TPH Entertainment, the ‘Empire’ star Taraji P. Henson’s entertainment company, signed an overall deal with BET Studios. 

Taraji opens up about her past relationship and why she had to leave for her son.

“This podcast was very informative,” she said. “Things I did not know make sense now. Looking back in retrospect, like how the executives were actually street dudes, they were mixing business with the street. I wasn’t really paying attention to that back then, but that’s what was happening.”

“It’s OK to not be OK,” Henson, the latest recipient of the Morton E. Ruderman Award in Inclusion, told The Associated Press via email. “Tell someone. Your vulnerability is actually your strength.”

“As far back as I can remember, I was always in love with hair… worn every type of hair and wanted to create a line that serviced everyone.”

The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation is named after her father who suffered from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), after his service in the Vietnam war.

“I think it’s pivotal in everything that we’ve done, everything that we’re doing still, that we continue to try to motivate and inspire people,” Perry told The Associated Press as he shook hands with well-wishers.

The “Can We Talk” Conference in partnership with Taraji P. Henson is taking place this week.

“I suffer from depression. My anxiety is kicking up even more every day, and I’ve never really dealt with anxiety like that. It’s something new.”

“I talk to Jussie all the time and he’s doing well. We’re all doing well. The show is doing well. We’re on hiatus right now,” Henson said on The View. “The writers are trying to figure out what the next season is going to look like. What our story line is going to be,” she said. “They’re trying to drum up some really good juicy stuff for you guys.”

“One thing that she does very well … is when she makes these movies, people from around the world … watch these roles that she plays and they see themselves in her and her performances no matter what character she plays,” Singleton said.
