A Conversation with Montgomery County’s Councilmember Will Jawando

Montgomery County Maryland’s Councilmember Will Jawando speaks with our listeners about what’s happening Montgomery County and the Law Enforcement Trust and Transparency Act.

This year Montgomery County residents voted for their second Black African American councilmember. Tonight, we speak with one of the new voices in the county. He will share his first bill, its called the Law Enforcement Trust and Transparency Act. The councilmember will share how he plans to work closely with the community.

-In 2018, 55 percent of African Americans were arrested by Montgomery County Police.

-Approaching economic development in a particular way, all counties should work  together
