Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks has selected Dallas, Texas Deputy Police Chief Malik Aziz as the new county police chief.  Aziz was selected after a national, months-long search.  He replaces former Chief Hank Stawinski who resigned abruptly last year as officers of color continued to raise questions about hiring, promotions and allegations of racism in the department.
