WHUR listeners gave online at WHUR.com, stopped by the radio station’s Howard University studios with cash and checks, and even dropped off trunk loads of non-perishable food to pack a truck. Howard University student volunteers were on hand to collect the donations from motorists. At the end of the day, donations topped $40,000.

This event was an official ROAD TO 50 private showcase where the Grammy Award winner serenaded us with his timeless hits and even let us hear his new song too.

As part of our Black History Month celebration, 96.3 WHUR and WHUT-TV will present a special Black History Month edition of the Daily Drum with Harold Fisher “Her-story… Today’s Black Women Shattering Glass Ceilings.”
