On November 29th, Ari Lennox was arrested by Amsterdam security for a “disturbance.” As previously reported by WHUR, Lennox accused the airline staff of racial discrimination and was then arrested.

Her manager, Justin LaMotte, released a statement on November 30th assuring that the singer was safe and appreciative of the support.

The singer opens up about her experience following the ordeal. On December 2nd she tweeted that she is safe and thankful for the prayers and love.

A couple of days later, she admits that her “only regret” would be her “reaction to the racism and discrimination,” that she experienced. She went on to express how KLM Royal Dutch Airlines “never cared to hear it from the jump” referring to her side of the story.

Lennox has not responded to the claims made by the police, being that she was held because she allegedly made threats before and during her arrest.

The R&B star appeared on Khalid’s latest mixtape on Dec. 3rd ‘Scenic Drive’.
