Jesse Jackson and Wife Treated for COVID

The Reverend Jackson and his wife are in a Chicago hospital being treated for the coronavirus. The Jackson was fully vaccinated and it appears to be a breakthrough case.

(Monday, August 23, 20210) – The Reverend Jesse Jackson and his wife Jacqueline are said to be resting and responding well to treatment against the coronavirus.  The couple was hospitalized over the weekend at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

A statement from the couple’s son, Johnathan Jackson said the pair was being carefully monitored because of their ages.  Jesse Jackson is 79 and Jacqueline Jackson is 77.  The civil rights icon also has Parkinson’s disease.

Jackson was vaccinated against COVID back in January as part of the effort to encourage more African Americans to take the shot.  “We ask that you continue to pray for the full recovery of our parents,” said  Johnathan Jackson.
