(Washington, DC) — A new report says former President Trump is directing his former aides to ignore a subpoena from a House committee. The panel investigating the January 6th Capitol attack has asked for documents and testimony from former chief of staff Mark Meadows and adviser Steve Bannon, among others. Their deadline for documents to do so is today and lawmakers want to sit down with them next week. A lawyer for Trump said in a letter executive privilege covers the materials lawmakers want. They wrote Trump will go to court to make that point.
