Serena To Face World No. 2 At U.S. Open Tonight

On Thursday, she’s set to play doubles with her sister Venus, who lost in the singles bracket.

(Queens, NY)  —  Serena Williams is set to resume her farewell tour at the U.S. Open today.  She has a second round singles matchup with the number two women’s tennis player in the world.  The 23-time Grand Slam champion cruised to victory in the first round Monday night.  The tournament in New York figures to be the last for the 40-year-old Williams, who’s expected to retire afterwards.  On Thursday, she’s set to play doubles with her sister Venus, who lost in the singles bracket.
