Queen Latifah has made history by becoming the first female rapper to have music inducted into the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry. Latifah’s album that was chosen to be inducted was All Hail the Queen.

The NAACP Image Awards are officially getting the Queen Latifah treatment.

“This land should be about life, not dilapidation,” Queen Latifah said.

On Monday, the long-standing live comedy show ‘Saturday Night Live’ announced three consecutive hosts for April including Jerrod Carmichael, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Lizzo. 

The rapper and actress will serve as star and executive producer for a new Netflix feature called End Of The Road.

The series will immediately follow the conclusion of CBS Sports’ Sunday, Feb. 7, Super Bowl LV broadcast, with subsequent episodes of “The Equalizer” airing at 8 p.m. EST Sundays, CBS said Thursday.

Credited with bringing gospel music to the mainstream, the five Clark sisters overcame humble beginnings in Detroit, enduring abuse, loss, rejection, betrayal and sibling rivalries to achieve international fame as icons of the gospel music industry.

“When Yvette [Bowser] asked me I said I would definitely be interested in seeing what that conversation is and being able to do it.”
