DC Police To Learn About African American History

The Metropolitan police are partnering with the University of the District of Columbia Community College to educate sworn and civilian members of a police department on African American history in Washington, D.C as well as the history of some of the district’s surrounding neighborhoods.

“Say Yes To The Prom” Initiative Provides Prom Attire To Area Kids In Need

200 under-served youth from the District, Montgomery County, and Baltimore were treated to a prom of a lifetime. It was all courtesy of TLC and a host of other sponsors, including Macy’s and Men’s Wearhouse. Taylor Thomas caught up with TLC’s Monte Durham and a few of the students to get a sneak peak inside their “prom dream.”
