Man Carrying Confederate Flag During Riot Sentenced

Prosecutors wanted him to spend nearly six years in prison.

(Washington, DC)  —  A man is going to prison for three years after being sentenced for carrying a Confederate flag during the Capitol riot.  This is about half of what prosecutors wanted a judge to impose in the case of Kevin Seefried.  They wanted him to spend nearly six years in prison.  Lawyers for the Delaware man said he should only spend one year locked up.  He was convicted on five charges.
