After Cardi B officially filed again for divorce from Offset, she also announced that she was pregnant with her third child.
Cardi said, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power.” She continued, “Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Insiders claim that this news has nothing to do with cheating, but it is based on the fact that the two of them have grown apart. One source said, “They’re just disconnected from each other.”
She is requesting primary custody and is hoping that the divorce process will remain amicable. This is the second time Cardi has filed paperwork for a divorce from Offset, and she is ready to move on from this marriage now.

Skinner said earlier, “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t, like, what it used to be.” She added, “A lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”

Jonathan Majors was set to play the supervillain Kang The Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but was fired after being convicted of reckless assault and harassment.
Marvel Studios announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the next two Avengers films will focus on “Doctor Doom” instead. The films have been renamed Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, with Robert Downey Jr. replacing Majors as the “Big Bad.”
Despite the setback, Majors seems to be in a better place now, but Xitter users couldn’t resist making jokes about the situation and how Majors must feel about losing out on the part. Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson, tweeted, “If you mad, they got Robert Downey Jr to play Doctor Doom. Just know you lucky they didn’t ask him to just replace Jonathan Majors as Kang.”
Jackson’s comment accompanied a photo of Robert Downey Jr in his role as Kirk Lazarus in Tropical Thunder.

According to AP News, President Joe Biden “delivered a solemn call to voters to defend the country’s democracy” address from the Oval Office on Wednesday night (July 24). This address comes after Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.
Biden said, in part, “I revere this office, but I love my country more. The defense of democracy is more important than any title. I draw strength, and find joy, in working for the American people. But this sacred task of perfecting our union is not about me. It’s about you. Your families. Your futures. It’s about ‘We the People.’”
Biden said of Vice President Kamala Harris, who he endorsed as the Democratic nominee, “She’s experienced, she’s tough, she’s capable. She’s been an incredible partner to me leader for our country.”
“I have decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation,” Biden said.
As Vice President Kamala Harris begins her race to the White House as Madam President, the way Republicans have used DEI comes almost as a slur.
Monday, Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett told CNN, “One hundred percent she is a DEI hire,” referring to the reason VP Kamala Harris became a running mate in the first place. It seems they are trying to strongly imply that she was hired to make a quota and not as qualified. He added, “Her record is abysmal at best.”
“I think she was a DEI hire and I think that that’s what we’re seeing, and I just don’t think that they have anybody else. I just think that they’re in real disarray,” said Wyoming Republican Rep. Harriet Hageman
The Republican party continues to throw their backhanded remark of DEI not long after the Supreme Court reversed Affirmative Action in college applications, which allowed those more than qualified but not overlooked by their ethnicity to have an opportunity to attend predominately white institutions of higher learning.
DefiningDEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Diversity is defined as the presence of differences within a given setting. In a workplace or organization, this includes differences in race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, education, and more.
Equity involves ensuring fair treatment, opportunities, and advancement for all individuals. It requires identifying and eliminating barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups.
Inclusion is the practice of creating environments in which any individual or group can be and feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. It’s about fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to contribute and participate fully.
Why DEI?
Vice President Kamala Harris earned her undergraduate degree from Howard University, a Historically Black University in Washington, D.C. Served as the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017, the first woman, first African American, and first South Asian to hold the position.
She received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for criminal justice reform, emphasizing rehabilitation and support for reentry programs.
Being called DEI because she doesn’t look the same as those using it against her, seems that diversity is essential for creating a dynamic, successful, and just workplace or organization where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Recently, Vanessa Williams opened up about getting a divorce in 2021 and how she is feeling today.
Williams said, “I’m doing what I love, and I’m in love with life. There is not one person that I’m in love with, but I’m in love with everybody.”
She continued on they are still on good terms even after the split, “I said, ‘Would you play my bodyguard?’ And he’s like, ‘Sure.’ So he shows up and everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God, they’re divorced, but they’re playing together in Ugly Betty.'”
She added, “That’s a perfect example of the past, the present, the personal, the business, the show business, working together, and knowing that can all be synchronistically aligned and work.” Williams continued, “My orbit’s not like you need a special pass to get in. I finish my show, I go out and sign autographs and I talk to people. I’m pretty open.”
She added, “I love my freedom. I love being alive, having options in my life, and being surrounded by beautiful things, great people, and wonderful opportunities.”
The Black Vote holds significant power in shaping the political landscape and advancing social justice in America. Historically, African American communities have fought tirelessly for the right to vote, overcoming monumental obstacles and systemic disenfranchisement.

Calls for police reform are growing in Springfield, Illinois following the fatal police-involved shooting earlier this month of Sonya Massey.
Body camera footage shows a white deputy threatening to shoot a Black woman in the face before ultimately shooting her in the head while he claimed she was holding a pot.
You can hear the victim, Sonya Massey say, ” I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” The officer responds, ” You better fu**ing not or I’ll shoot you in your fu***ing face”, before shooting her.
You can see in the video she wasn’t holding a pot of water when shot, but only the oven mitts.
The deputy has been relieved of duty, faces murder charges, and remains in jail pending trial. The incident has sparked condemnation and calls for reform, with President Biden and Illinois U.S. Rep. Nikki Budzinski speaking out against excessive force.
President Biden says he and First Lady Jill Biden, “mourn with the rest of the country and our prayers are with Sonya’s family, loved ones, and community during this devastating time.”He adds, “Sonya’s family deserves justice.
The victim’s family is being represented by attorney Benjamin Crump.
With Kamala Harris now the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, Maya Rudolph is receiving some calls of her own.
Rudolph famously portrayed Harris on ‘Saturday Night Live’ during the 2020 presidential election cycle, and many fans have taken to social media hoping for her return to the series. She previously was a full-time cast member on ‘SNL’ from 2000 to 2007.
Rudolph’s performance as Harris won her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. The costuming was one of the best in ages, it was as if they borrowed VP Harris’ outfit directly from her.
September 28th is the premiere of the 50th season of Saturday Night Live.

Biden expressed gratitude for his time in office and for his decision to step down to focus on his duties. Barbra Streisand, a Democratic supporter, wrote Sunday on X that “we should be grateful for his upholding of our democracy.”
Cher claimed to have been “tortured” in her post on X because she doesn’t think the Democrats could prevail without Biden. She suggested a split ticket and said it was time to go “way outside the box.”
Actor Robert De Niro thanked Biden for his,” act of shrewd politics and selfless patriotism.” According to The Hill, De Niro commented, “Joe Biden is stepping aside to clear the path for another Democrat to become president.” He added, “because there is nothing more important for our country than defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box.”

#Breaking – President Biden is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race ending weeks of speculation of whether he will stay or go after a disappointing showing in the debate against Donald Trump.
The announcement was released on Biden’s social media sites. The decision comes after escalating pressure from Biden’s Democratic allies to step aside following the June 27th debate. In a statement Biden released he said “while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
Biden went on to fully endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race saying picking Harris as his number two was the best decision he’s made and he’s calling on all democrats to come together to defeat Donald Trump.
Longtime U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, who helped lead federal efforts to protect women from domestic violence and recognize Juneteenth as a national holiday, has died. She was 74.
Lillie Conley, her chief of staff, confirmed that Jackson Lee, who had pancreatic cancer, died in Houston Friday night with her family around her.
The Democrat had represented her Houston-based district and the nation’s fourth-largest city since 1995. She had previously had breast cancer and announced the pancreatic cancer diagnosis on June 2.
“The road ahead will not be easy, but I stand in faith that God will strengthen me,” Jackson Lee said in a statement then.
Bishop James Dixon, a longtime friend in Houston who visited Jackson Lee earlier this week, said he will remember her as a fighter.
“She was just a rare, rare jewel of a person who relentlessly gave everything she had to make sure others had what they needed. That was Sheila,” he said.
Jackson Lee had just been elected to the Houston district once represented by Barbara Jordan, the first Black woman elected to Congress from a Southern state since Reconstruction, when she was immediately placed on the high-profile House Judiciary Committee in 1995.
“They just saw me, I guess through my profile, through Barbara Jordan’s work,” Jackson Lee told the Houston Chronicle in 2022. “I thought it was an honor because they assumed I was going to be the person they needed.”
Jackson Lee quickly established herself as fierce advocate for women and minorities, and a leader for House Democrats on many social justice issues, from policing reform to reparations for descendants of enslaved people. She led the first rewrite of the Violence Against Women Act in nearly a decade, which included protections for Native American, transgender and immigrant women.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, speaks in support of Democratic gun control measures, called the Protecting Our Kids Act, in response to mass shootings in Texas and New York, at the Capitol in Washington, June 2, 2022.
Jackson Lee was also among the lead lawmakers behind the effort in 2021 to have Juneteenth recognized as the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established in 1986. The holiday marks the day in 1865 that the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom.
A native of Queens, New York, Jackson Lee graduated from Yale and earned her law degree at the University of Virginia. She was a judge in Houston before she was elected to Houston City Council in 1989, then ran for Congress in 1994. She was an advocate for gay rights and an early opponent of the Iraq War in 2003.
Top congressional Democrats reacted quickly to the news Friday night, praising her commitment and work ethic.
Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina called her “a tenacious advocate for civil rights and a tireless fighter, improving the lives of her constituents.”
Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland said he had never known a harder-working lawmaker than Jackson Lee, saying she “studied every bill and every amendment with exactitude and then told Texas and America exactly where she stood.”
“As a powerful voice in the Congress for our Constitution and human rights, she fought tirelessly to advance fairness, equity and justice for all,” Pelosi said.
Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he and his wife Cecilia will always remember Jackson Lee, calling her a “tireless advocate for the people of Houston.”
“Her legacy of public service and dedication to Texas will live on,” he said.
Rep. Jahana Hayes, D-Conn., left, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, attend a ceremony marking the 11th anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.
Jackson Lee routinely won reelection to Congress with ease. The few times she faced a challenger, she never carried less than two-thirds of the vote. Jackson Lee considered leaving Congress in 2023 in a bid to become Houston’s first female Black mayor but was defeated in a runoff. She then easily won the Democratic nomination for the 2024 general election.
During the mayoral campaign, Jackson Lee expressed regret and said “everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect” following the release of an unverified audio recording purported to be of the lawmaker berating staff members.
In 2019, Jackson Lee stepped down from two leadership positions on the House Judiciary Committee and Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the fundraising of the Congressional Black Caucus, following a lawsuit from a former employee who said her sexual assault complaint was mishandled.
In a statement, Jackson Lee’s family said she had been a beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother known as Bebe.
President Joe Biden stands with Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, during an event in the East Room of the White House in Washington, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, to celebrate women’s history month.
“She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire all who believe in freedom, justice, and democracy,” the statement said. “God bless you Congresswoman and God bless the United States of America.”

Dr. Reagon was a founder of the Freedom Singers and Sweet Honey In the Rock. She spent much of her life working at the intersection of music and activism while promoting Black history and culture as a producer, performer, composer, and scholar.

Washington, D. C. (Thursday, July 18, 2024) – A two-year-old girl is recovering from gunshot wounds in a shooting that left two adults dead and another adult injured. D.C. police say the violence happened Thursday morning as multiple gunmen opened fire at 22nd and Savannah Street, SE.
Police Chief Pamela Smith told reporters the search for three shooters, armed with rifles, is ongoing. Police are looking for a blue Dodge Charger with heavily tinted windows. Police believe the shooters got out of one car and hopped into the other.
The little girl who was injured was rushed to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Chief Smith said the shooting happened as a group of day-care children were being taken out of the facility for their morning walk. The two-year-old was the only child physically hurt. “This is another example of gun violence that we cannot have in our communities. We’re sick and tired of this. We want to say to our community, we are working hard every single day to ensure that this kind of violence is decreased in our communities.”
Police have not yet released the names of the two men who were killed or the other injured male. No word on a motive.

Washington, D.C. (Wednesday, July 17, 2024) – The White House says President Joe Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus and is experiencing mild symptoms.
“He felt ok for his first event of the day, but given that he was not feeling better, point of care testing for COVID-19 was conducted, and the results were positive for the COVID-19 virsus,” said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Biden was scheduled to speak this afternoon as part of a rally to woo Hispanic voters ahead of the November election. Yesterday, the president spoke at the Annual NAACP Convention underway in Las Vegas. Reports indicate Biden is up to date on his COVID vaccinations.
The president’s doctor said Biden has received his first dose of Paxlovid and will be self-isolating at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
The president’s positivity comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports an uptick in COVID cases. Health officials in Maryland and Virginia reported Tuesday that they have seen a 30 percent increase in infections over the past week. Maryland reported 7 deaths over the past weekend.
Recently, Bun B spoke on the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs podcast as he reacted to the fact that many couples have used ‘Int’l Players Anthem’ as their wedding song when they walk down the aisle.
He said, “Here’s what’s crazy: I don’t know if André doesn’t do a wedding-themed video, if this [becomes] a wedding song.”
He continued, “I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but this is a huge wedding song now in the world. So many people have come up to me and said, ‘We walked out to this record.’ ‘It was our second dance.’ ‘I came out with my groomsmen.’ So many different aspects of weddings have utilized this record.”
The Houston native also discussed how the infamous beat drop came about. He explains that “the yin and yang” of Outkast framed the song, with Andre 3000 rapping over a stripped beat, with Big Boi ending the iconic song over the drums.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown got caught trash-talking on Bronny James’ skillset.
Brown was attending Monday’s NBA Summer League game between the Celtics and Lakers and was caught on video saying “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.” After the clip went viral, Brown posted “Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth.”
Of course, Brown isn’t the only one doubting Bronny’s NBA potential, during his years as a freshman for USC he averaged just 4 points a game. This caused many to believe he likely wouldn’t have been drafted if he had not been for his famous father.
Laker Coach JJ Redick in a recent interview said, “He’s a development player. That’s how we’re looking at Bronny. He’s certainly going to spend time with the Lakers. He will spend time as well in the G League,”
James came in as the 55th pick to the Los Angelas Lakers during the NBA 2024 Draft, signing a $7.9 million four-year contract.
Recently, Anthony Anderson was the guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussed the Trump shooting during his monologue.
Anderson said, “Everybody’s still shaken up by the tragic events at the Trump rally this Saturday. All weekend, I kept thinking, ‘I wonder what Jimmy Kimmel is going to say about this on Monday?’ And then I was like, ‘oh, I am Jimmy Kimmel on Monday.'”
He continued, “Our thoughts are with the families of the victims. Hopefully this will be a moment that we can all take a step back from the hatred and vitriol in our politics and maybe chill the f— out.” He added, “If you want to maintain your sanity during this crazy time, do not go on the internet. There are insane conspiracies popping up on both sides. Now, you know how the far right has QAnon? Well, conspiracy theories from the far left are now being called Blue-Anon. Blue-Anon, that sounds like a support group for people who give anonymous oral sex.”
Anderson continued, “The award for the worst article about it goes to Forbes, who retracted this dumba** story: ‘Will Surviving Gunfire be Donald Trump’s Next Appeal to Black Voters?’ What? Getting shot at doesn’t make you popular in the Black community. If it did, then the most famous man in the hood would be Liam Neeson, and nobody gets shot more than that, dude. He’s the Irish 50 Cent.”
