Tiger Woods Announces Who He Is Currently Dating

Golfer Tiger Woods request for privacy as he announces on social media that he dating Vanessa Trump.

Trump is the former daughter-in-law to current President Donald Trump. Vanessa Trump(47), was married for 13 years with his son Donald Trump Jr for 13 years. The two divorced in 2018.

Woods (49), posted along with 2 pictures and a caption reading: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.”

He added, “At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

No one is inquiring who Woods is dating or understanding why ask for privacy and make a public post.

Heavyweight Boxing Champ, Olympian, and Businessman George Foreman Dead at 76

According to CBS boxing legend George Foreman, a two-time heavyweight champion, entrepreneur, author, and minister, passed away at age 76.

Known as “Big George,” Foreman won the heavyweight gold medal at the 1968 Olympics and became a professional champion by defeating Joe Frazier in 1973.

He made a historic comeback in 1994 to become the oldest man to win a world heavyweight championship. Foreman’s legacy also includes the popular George Foreman Grill, which sold over 100 million units worldwide.

U.S. Drops In ‘World Happiness Report’

The United States fell to its lowest-ever place on the World Happiness Report, while Finland remained the happiest nation for the eighth consecutive year.

Mexico and Costa Rica entered the top 10 for the first time. The report emphasizes the positive impact of benevolence and social connections on happiness levels.

Factors contributing to the rankings include meal-sharing habits, political polarization, and family household size. The belief in the kindness of others and active caring were highlighted as key factors influencing happiness levels globally.

In 2012, America saw a spike at the 11th spot, currently the U.S. ranks 24th.

‘Sherri’ Syndicated Talk Show Renewed For Fourth Season

Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show “Sherri” has been renewed for a fourth season, set to air in the 2025-26 TV season.

The syndicated show has seen impressive ratings, ranking as the No. 2 highest-rated syndicated talk show among women 25-54 in February, according to Nielsen’s metered markets, increasing 33% from November 2024. Shepherd expressed gratitude for the audience’s support and looks forward to raising the bar in the upcoming season.

The show is distributed by Debmar-Mercury and taped at New York City’s Chelsea Studios in front of a live audience, with plans to continue providing quality programming for stations.

‘Abbott Elementary’ Star Quinta Brunson Files for Divorce From Kevin Anik

According to TMZ, Quinta Brunson, creator of the hit TV series ‘Abbott Elementary,’ has filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Anik after three and a half years of marriage.

The couple, who do not have children together, have a postnuptial agreement. Despite keeping their relationship low-key, Quinta mentioned Kevin in her Emmy acceptance speech.

The Emmy-winning actress, comedian, writer, and producer has had a successful career in Hollywood, with two Emmy Awards and nine nominations.

Washington, D.C. (Tuesday, March 18, 2025) – WHUR joined the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) and the NNPA Fund Thursday, March 13th to commemorate Black Press Day 2025, an event designed to highlight the nearly 200-year influence Black-owned newspapers have had on the U.S..

Dozens of journalists, scholars, media professionals, students, and publishers packed the Howard University Louis Stokes Library to hear about the “State of the Black Press” and to enshrine two legendary publishers into the Howard University Black Press Archives Gallery of Distinguished Publishers. The families of Dr. William H. Lee, founder of The Sacramento Observer and Walter Smith, publisher of The New York Beacon, were on hand for the enshrinement. The contributions of the two legendary publishers and their newspapers helped to shape and tell the stories pertinent to people of color.

Dr. Ben Chavis delivered the State of the Black Media address reminding attendees that the Black Press is still very much alive and well. “But there is still lots of work to do. These are trying times, but we’ve had trying times before. We have to stick together.”

WHUR General Manager Sean Plater also spoke at the event. “At WHUR, we are proud to stand on the shoulders of those pioneering journalists who know the power of storytelling. Kanye West Doubles Down on Hateful Views with Insane Casting Call Parameters: No Women or ‘Fat People’

Kanye West faced backlash for sharing an open casting call with discriminatory and hateful guidelines for his upcoming music project.

West took to X (Twitter) for a call to action. The rapper specified that only males with certain skin tones, specifically Sean “Diddy” Combs’s complexion or darker, and shaved heads, excluding fat people, and requiring the wearing of swastikas, could apply.

This move follows West’s history of antisemitic remarks, leading to brand deals being dropped and his account being suspended. Despite apologizing in the past, West continued to make offensive comments, including expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler.

National Geographic has unveiled its National Geographic 33 list, honoring individuals making a positive impact on the world.

Selena Gomez is recognized for her work in mental health advocacy through her Rare Impact Fund. Björk is celebrated for her environmental activism in Iceland and beyond. The list also includes entertainers such as Arlo Parks, Don Cheadle, and Yara Shahidi, among others.

“With the National Geographic 33, we’re honoring a diverse group of changemakers, from all over the world and different walks of life, who aren’t just recognizing the urgent challenges of our time, they are taking action to address them,” said Nathan Lump, SVP and editor-in-chief of National Geographic, in a press statement. “They all share a deep commitment to shaping a better future, and in shining a light on them and their contributions, we hope to elevate their work and showcase to a wide audience the positive impact they’re making.”

Forever 21 Files For Bankruptcy

Forever 21 has filed for bankruptcy for the second time in six years, announcing plans to close all U.S. locations.

The company cited competition from foreign fast fashion companies like Shein and Temu, rising costs, economic challenges, and evolving consumer trends as reasons for the bankruptcy.

While stores will remain open for now, the company is starting an “orderly wind-down” process and looking for a buyer for some or all assets to cease, with the liquidation of 350+ locations.

Locations outside the U.S. are not affected by the bankruptcy filing, as other licensees operate them. 

United Airlines Gate Agent Punched in The Face at Dulles International Airport

According to WUSA, a Frederick man is now banned after punching a United Airlines gate agent at Dulles International Airport, resulting in the agent being hospitalized.

The incident was captured on video and the man was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Witnesses reported that the altercation lasted around 15 minutes and stemmed from a flight cancellation issue.

The gate agent was taken to a local hospital, and United Airlines has banned the man from future travel with the airline.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union condemned the violent act and called for stronger airline customer service representatives protections.

Trump Threatens 200% Tariff On E.U. Alcoholic Beverages Over Tax On U.S. Whiskey

President Donald Trump threatened to impose a 200% tariff on wines, champagnes, and alcoholic products from France and other EU countries in response to the EU’s 50% tariff on American whiskey.

Trump criticized the EU for its taxing practices and vowed to escalate the trade war if the tariffs are not removed. Calling EU’s tariff on US bourbon “nasty”.

Since returning to power, Trump has initiated trade wars with American allies, including Mexico and Canada, while suggesting expanding the US territory and revising longstanding treaties.

Critics, including Republicans, have condemned Trump’s tariff threats as detrimental to the economy.

Baltimore Doctor’s Patients Come To His Aid

Baltimore’s own, Dr. Michael Zollicoffer, or best known as Dr. Z., a 66-year-old private family practitioner, isn’t rich in money but wealthy in love that he provides to his patients and the community provides to him.

Zollicoffer tells CBS News.”I just love people.” He adds, “I love to see a rash. If you say you got a rash, I’m going to find you, because I love a bump on your head.” 

Lita Johnson, a patient of Dr.Z’s, shares, “He is unbelievable, because you’ll never meet another person like him ever.”
Zollicoffer doesn’t care if his patients can’t pay, “Forget that dollar bill,” Zollicoffer said. “I’m going to see you no matter what. You walk in that door, you will be seen. You bring your grandma with you, I’ll see her, too.”

After 40 years in the practice, Zollicoffer has never taken time for himself, patient Tiffani Elamenuel added, “He’s always available.”

Being diagnosed with cancer, “I’ve got 2 separate cancers — one renal and one rectal — but I don’t give up,” Zollicoffer said. Uninsured, due to a mishap in paperwork with his Medicare plan, his loving patients created a crowdfunding campaign, raising more than $100,000.

Zollicoffer mentions,” I’m thankful that I got cancer, because I am the happiest man on the planet, no matter what the outcome. What we have shown, and why we’re sitting at this table right now, to show America: this is what you’re about!  We are about giving! I can’t make it without them, nor can they make it without me.”

Flu Claims the Lives of 2 Students In Prince George’s County

Prince George’s County, Maryland (Friday, March 7, 2025) – Prince George’s County Public School System is experiencing an uptick in flu cases with 2 confirmed deaths in recent weeks. A third case has not yet been confirmed by the Prince George’s County Health Department.

Superintendent Millard House, II is reminding parents not to send sick children to school. “The most effective way to prevent the spread of the flu is to keep sick children home.  If your child is experiencing symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, or body aches, please do not send them to school.  We also encourage families to consider flu vaccinations, which can significantly reduce the severity of illness,” said House.

The names and ages of the children have not been released. But the two deaths were reported at Chesapeake Math and IT Academy North High School and John Baynes Elementary School. The third suspected case is at Whitehall Elementary School. “Our hearts are with their families,” added House

The Prince George’s County Health Department offers flu vaccines Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cheverly Health Department. Additional resources can be found at www.pgcps.org/flu.

School officials say they will be closely monitoring the cases and will be taking the following actions.

Enhanced Cleaning – Increased disinfection of high-touch areas in schools and buses. 
Handwashing & Hygiene – Ensuring ample soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer, along with reminders for proper handwashing. 
Temporary Masking – If flu cases reach critical levels in a school, we may require temporary masking to safeguard students and staff.
 On-Site Flu Vaccination – We are partnering with the Prince George’s County Health Department to provide flu vaccines in affected schools. 
Exposure – Keeping students in consistent groups where possible to limit interactions and contain outbreaks. 
Extracurricular Adjustments – Modifying or postponing high-contact activities and large gatherings as needed.

NYPD Detective Appears In A Spicy Music Video

NYPD Detective Melissa Mercado is under fire after a video of her performing a pole dance in a thong went viral, the Toronto Sun reports.

The seven-year veteran of the force appeared in a video by rapper S-Quire, twerking to the song “Doin’ That.” While some defended Mercado, others criticized her behavior as unbecoming of a police officer, especially as a special victims unit investigator.

What she’s doing really has nothing to do with her as an employee, as an NYC detective, a police union source defended.“She’s not wearing NYPD paraphernalia. Nothing in the video says she’s a detective.”

The NYPD has a history of officers involved in scandalous behavior, but it remains unclear if Mercado will face disciplinary action for her performance.

U.S. House Votes to Censure Texas Rep. Al Green

The House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, for his protest during President Trump’s address to Congress.

Green shouted at the president, claiming he lacked a mandate from the American people. House Speaker Mike Johnson warned Green to stop, but he continued and was escorted out.

Trump criticized Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, for interrupting his joint session address to Congress and suggested that Green should be censured and forced to pass an IQ test.

The House of Representatives later censured Green in a bipartisan vote. Ten Democrats and all Republicans supported the censure, making Green the 28th lawmaker to face this reprimand. 

The President called Green a “fool and a clown” and stated that he is an embarrassment to Congress and the Democrats.

Green was removed from the joint address after repeatedly disrupting Trump’s speech by shouting “You have no mandate!” as Trump spoke about Republican victories.

Chris Rock Makes First Appearance Since Academy Awards Slapping Incident

Chris Rock, who was infamously slapped by Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars, has not ruled out hosting the Oscars again despite the incident.

Reportedly, Chris Rock, when asked about hosting the Oscars again, in his first appearance at a Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty he stated, “You never know. This is what I would say: the most miserable people on earth are people that can’t forgive.”

Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, leading to the altercation with Smith. Smith later apologized for his behavior, acknowledging that violence is unacceptable and inexcusable.

Rock finally addressed the incident in a Netflix special, joking about the slap and his response to it. “You all know what happened to me, getting smacked by Suge Smith,” he said.

Smith was banned from attending any event related to the Academy for 10 years and resigned from the organization.

(Tuesday, March 4, 2025) – Black leaders are gathering across the country today for what they are calling a “State of the People 24-Hour Address.” It is a live stream featuring some of the nation’s top Black activists, journalists, and elected leaders to give their assessment of the nation’s conditions while providing an alternative to the State of the Union.

Trump To Sign Executive Order Friday Designating English as The Official Language of The U.S.

President Trump is reportedly planning to sign an executive order making English the official language of the United States.

While English is the most commonly used language in the country, the U.S. has never had an official language at the federal level. The president’s plan to sign the executive order was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Republican members of Congress have previously attempted to pass legislation declaring English the official language, and many states have already designated English as their official language.

During his campaign, Trump criticized the influx of other languages into the U.S., stating that some of these languages were unfamiliar to Americans.

The U.S. Terminates Funding for Polio, H.I.V., Malaria and Nutrition Programs Around the World

A $131 million grant to UNICEF’s polio immunization program supported the delivery of vaccines to millions of children. Other projects included a contract for bed nets and malaria treatments, community health worker efforts in Yemen, and tuberculosis medications provided by the Global Drug Facility.

According to the New York Times, “People will die,” said Dr. Catherine Kyobutungi, executive director of the African Population and Health Research Center, “but we will never know, because even the programs to count the dead are cut.”

Additionally, H.I.V. care projects in Africa, Ebola contact tracing in Uganda, and medical supply distribution in Kenya were impacted by the funding cuts. Numerous health initiatives, such as water provision in conflict zones and malnutrition treatment programs, faced severe consequences due to the termination of funding.
