Ex Minneapolis Cop Sentenced In George Floyd’s Death

Lane was convicted in federal court of violating Floyd’s civil rights by denying him medical care.

(St. Paul, MN) — Former Minneapolis police officer Thomas Lane is being sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison for his role in George Floyd’s murder two years ago during an arrest. Lane was convicted in federal court of violating Floyd’s civil rights by denying him medical care. The sentence is what Lane’s lawyers asked for, saying he encouraged former officer Derek Chauvin to roll Floyd onto his side so he could breathe. Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd’s neck for nine and a half minutes, which led to his death.

Justin Timberlake and Irv Gotti Are Selling Their Masters-But Why?

For years, we have heard stories of artists fighting for the right to get the master recordings of their songs. Now people like Justin Timberlake, Irv Gotti and more are selling their masters for hundreds of millions of dollars. A master recording is the original recording of a song. Ownership of a song usually goes to the writer of the song, not the singer. Because the master of the song (not a copy) has a superior sound, that is the copy that gets used in movies and commercials. Whoever owns the master makes the money from royalties, licensing, brand deals and other revenue streams. Artists are selling their maters and getting their money upfront while they are alive to do with it as they wish. Nothing to fight over when they are gone.

Sesame Workshop Promises Bias Training for Sesame Place Staff After Viral Video Incident

Sesame Place will train employees after a viral video appeared to show racial bias by performers.

Sesame Workshop says that they are aware of the incident and have contacted Sesame Place to ensure action is taken.

As a result, they have been told there will be “bias training” and a thorough review of how performers interact with families and guests.

Peter Thomas Calls Phaedra Parks ‘Messy as Hell,’ Admits He ‘Never’ Liked the Attorney

In a recent interview Peter Thomas, formerly of Real Housewives of Atlanta said he never liked Phaedra Parks. He said when he first met Apollo, Phaedra’s now ex-husband, he said they were going to fight because of an interview Peter did where he said he never liked Phaedra. He said he never liked her because, she’s the kind of person to throw the rock and hide her hands. This chick is messy as hell. He added, she would throw the rock, hide her hands and then push Porsha Williams to go do her dirty work.  Who is your favorite and least favorite housewife of all the franchises?

Cardi B Reveals Her Hatred For Deadbeat Mothers

Cardi B was very vocal recently about her hatred for deadbeat mothers and expressed that hatred in a recent interview. Cardi said, “There weren’t a lot of artists out there who had babies at the beginning of their career. I didn’t have an album out when I found out I was pregnant.” She continued, “Everybody was so nervous for my career and future, but I kept telling them, ‘It’s easy. Trust me, I’m going to have a nanny, and she’s going to travel up and down with me. It’s not even going to be a hassle.” She added, “When the baby got here, I couldn’t even think about getting a nanny because I was afraid of anybody being around her besides my family. I’ve never had a nanny for Kulture.” Cardi continued, “Your parents have already lived their life and raised their kids. They are older and don’t have the same energy as someone in their 20s. I’m never far from my kids because that’s my responsibility as a mother.” She added, “There is no excuse, we have to do it. I have compassion for good mothers who get up and hustle and work, or even not work – having kids is work. Raising a kid is work. I have so much hatred for deadbeat mothers and fathers. It’s like, yo, bringing a baby into this world isn’t just like, ‘I’ll figure it out. You have to be ready because you as a parent is all they got and all they want.”   If you could afford a nanny, then would you hire one to help you with raising your kids?

Chris Brown has been sued because he allegedly pocketed $1.1 million for a benefit performance that he didn’t show up for. Bailey said, “I acted in good faith and sponsored this concert out of love and respect for residents in need.” She continued, “I am appalled that Chris Brown refuses to refund my money for a show he did not appear to after we announced our show and sold tickets.” She added, “At this point, it is my humble belief that Chris Brown’s actions are parallel to pure theft. He has the unmitigated gall to take my money, stand up the residents of Houston, then return to the city to perform on August 17, 2022. My message to Chris Brown: We will not sit back and allow you to disrespect the victims of Hurricane Ida and Nicholas in need.” Which songs from Chris Brown’s new album are your favorite?

Beyoncé’s Mom Stopped Solange From Playing Sister’s Back-Up Singer In ‘Austin Powers’

Beyoncé’s mother put a stop to Solange being the backup singer in the movie Austin Powers film Goldmember after hearing the song she was to perform.  Solange Knowles was to sing the lyric, ‘He’s got the Midas touch, but he touched it too much’ but Tina Knowles wasn’t having it.  Solange was only 15-years-old at the time and even though she was already set to play the role another actress had to be cast. Sybil Azur eventually filled in the role, though Solange was given a credit for the film. What is something your mother made you do that you’re still not over?
