More Kids On The Way For Nick Cannon?

Are more kids on the way for Nick Cannon? It certainly seems like it.

The media mogul confirmed in a recent Lip Service podcast interview, “Let’s just put it this way… the stork is on the way.”

Cannon has been in the news a lot lately for fathering multiple children. He shares a set of twins with singer and icon, Mariah Carey and another set with Abby De La Rosa.

He previously announced in January that he was already expecting his 8th child.

Cannon explained earlier this month in an interview with Men’s Health that although he is a father of many he is still present in all of his kids lives.

“Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be,” Cannon said. “If I’m not physically in the same city with my kids, I’m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff. And then when I am [in the same city, I’m] driving my kids to school, like making sure I pick ’em up. All of those things, making sure [I’m there for] all extracurricular activities. I’m involved in everything from coaching to having guitar lessons with my daughter every week.”

Average U.S. Gas Price Nearly At $5 Per Gallon

For the 10th consecutive day, gas prices have reached a new all-time record – nearly topping $5 a gallon in the U.S. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in the U.S. is $4.97.

GasBuddy.com’s Patrick De Haan expects that average to top the $5 mark by Friday. According to GasBuddy.com, DC gas is already averaging over $5.

The most expensive gas is in California, with an average price of $6.40 per gallon.

Georgia has the lowest prices, at ‘only’ $4.40 per gallon.

Although consumers are hurting at the pump, President Joe Biden recently said there was nothing he could do to bring gas prices down in the short term.

How have you had to adjust to account for these gas prices?

Family Travel Insurance Might Save Your 2022 Trip Budget

Before you book your next trip make sure it includes travel insurance. Imagine booking a trip you have been dying to take for a year only to cancel at the last minute because someone got Covid or you had a family emergency. This is where travel insurance comes in. There are four common types of travel insurance: Medical Emergency evacuation and repatriation Trip cancellation and delay Cancel for any reason Much like car insurance, travel insurance will cover various issues but you have to ask questions and yes you may pay more. One common misconception about travel insurance is that it will cover all changes and cancellations. As with any insurance purchase-ask questions and do your homework. Have you ever cancelled a trip at the last minute after everything was paid for?

Maryland State Police Warn Parents of Scam Involving Sexual Extortion of Minors

The Maryland State Police Department is reminding parents to stay vigilant of scams online involving minors.

The MSPD said in a news release on Tuesday that the department has received multiple reports of minors being contacted via social media under a guise of romantic interests.

“As the chats progress, the suspect user will request sexually illicit photographs of the minor, and might even send photographs back to the minor in return.

If a minor sends a sexually illicit photograph of themselves to the suspect account, the suspect user will proceed to demand the minor send them money, typically in the form of gift card and prepaid credit card numbers that are readily available at most stores,” the news release said.

Threats are then made to the minor that if they don’t send the money, the illicit photos will be shared online with the minors family and friends.

Parents are advised to educate their children on online safety, review online history and place computers in common areas.

Students in DC schools must be vaccinated next school year to be allowed in city classrooms.

If you have kids that attend school in the District, city officials say your children will have to have all of their vaccinations if they want to attend school next year, and that includes Covid vaccinations for those eligible.
Students will have to be vaccinated by the 20th day from the start of the school year. The mayor says today’s announcement gives parents and guardians plenty of time to have all vaccinations for their children taken care of.  Officials say virtual learning will not be made available for those who are not vaccinated. Requirements will apply to private and charter schools.

Public Pools Struggle With Lifeguard Shortage

Summer’s here, which means public swimming pools are open for business – if they can find enough lifeguards, that is.
A shortage of lifeguards is forcing public pools across the country to cut their hours or even close down.
Why are lifeguards in short supply? The pandemic led to many lifeguard training programs to be canceled or postponed – and also meant that many lifeguards saw their certification expire and didn’t bother to renew it.
A ban on temporary work visas during the Trump administration also had an impact, as many lifeguard candidates would travel to the U.S. from Eastern Europe.
Has your local pool cut its hours? Ever work as a lifeguard?

Naturi Naughton and Adreinne Bailon reunited and shared a picture of themselves on Instagram.

#2LW 😜 #LetTheHealingBegin,” Bailon posted on Instagram.

The two have forged their own career paths, but they started out working together in a group known as 3LW.

Their other group member, Keily Williams, was not pictured.

After 3LW released a platinum self-titled album in 200, Naughton said things began to change which ultimately resulted in the group breaking up.

Naturi said in a TV One interview a while back that she was told her voice was too soulful, and nobody was checking for a darkskin girl after their first album. She was then taken off of many lead singing roles.

Naughton said one of the lowest points of being in the group and the moment when things boiled over was during a fight at KFC. She recalled Williams throwing a plate of chicken and mashed potatoes at her.

Bailon has since apologized to Naughton publicly and privately for her role in what transpired when the women were teenage girls.

When Naughton appeared on The Real in 2017 Bailon told her, “There was a lot that went on at that time that now looking back is just like, we were so young and it was so crazy.” Adding, ” I genuinely from the bottom of my heart never meant any harm towards you. I think you’re talented and beautiful.”

They have started an initiative called HIV Is Not A Crime. HIV Is Not A Crime, ETAF is fighting to modernize HIV laws, so that people living with HIV can no longer be charged and branded as criminals because of their status. Last week, the organization presented a production at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company-DC called Night Over America. Night Over America is a short play that describes the impact of HIV stigma and criminalization in the modern age. The production also appeared in New York City this month.

George Floyd, Two Years Later

What has and has not changed since that murder in Minneapolis?

Yesterday… President Biden signed a new executive order on national police reform.  The order creates a national database to track police misconduct, but it only covers federal law enforcement agencies. This marked the second anniversary of the death of George Floyd.  He was an unarmed black man who was murdered while on the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota, while in police custody.  Since Floyd’s death, bipartisan efforts to craft national police reform legislation have fallen short in congress.  So where are we now?  What has and has not changed since that murder in Minneapolis?
