Michael Jackson’s Mother To Testify In Court In Battle Against His Estate

Katherine Jackson, 92, will testify in her lawsuit against her son’s estate.  Jackson’s executors, John Branca, and John McClain, allegedly sought the court’s approval of a contract they negotiated, claiming they “have an opportunity which they believe is to the substantial advantage of the estate and in the best interest of the beneficiaries.”

RadarOnline says Katherine Jackson, 92, will testify in her lawsuit against her son’s estate.  Jackson’s executors, John Branca, and John McClain, allegedly sought the court’s approval of a contract they negotiated, claiming they “have an opportunity which they believe is to the substantial advantage of the estate and in the best interest of the beneficiaries.”

This opportunity hadn’t been announced; however, the sale of half of Jackson’s song collection for $800 million is suspected.  Three months later, the Jackson matriarch opposed the agreement. According to court documents, Michael’s siblings Randy and Rebbie viewed secret agreement details.

Allegedly Katherine’s daughter LaToya Jackson’s ex-fiancée Jefferee Phillips stole over $1 million in property, including handwritten notes, 5 hard drives, 3 silver Mac laptops, two iPods, cassette tapes, and a large black bag with a skull on it. They believe the hard drives could potentially contain unreleased music.

Phillips says,“I have never lied about having the Carolwood Items or otherwise concealed the fact that I kept the Carolwood Items in storage. Jackson’s family members knew I had these items.”

He added, “had the Estate simply asked for the property and not resorted to the premeditated set-up and bullying tactics, I would have called La Toya to inform her that the Estate was requesting the items, and the two of us would have then called her mother. If Ms. Jackson instructed me to give the property back to the Estate, I would have done so.”

A true icon Belafonte was known as the “King of Calypso” with his chart hit “The Banana Boat Song (Day-O).” He won over hearts as an actor in the film “Carmen Jones,” starring him and Dorothy Dandridge.

Although he entertained the world, he loved the people and, throughout his life, continued for their rights as an activist, many times alongside Dr. Martin Luther King.

“Whenever we got into trouble or when tragedy struck, Harry has always come to our aid, his generous heart wide open,” Coretta Scott King later said in her memoir.

“What I’ve always been looking for: Where resides the rebel heart?” Belafonte replied. “Without the rebellious heart, without people who understand that there’s no sacrifice we can make that is too great to retrieve that which we’ve lost, we will forever be distracted with possessions and trinkets and title.

A Grand Jury Decided Against Charging 8 Cops Over Jayland Walker’s Shooting Death

The state’s attorney general announced on Monday, April 17, that an Ohio grand jury decided not to indict eight Akron police officers in the death of Jayland Walker, a 25-year-old Black man shot numerous times by the police following an attempted traffic stop and a chase last summer.

The state’s attorney general announced on Monday, April 17, that an Ohio grand jury decided not to indict eight Akron police officers in the death of Jayland Walker, a 25-year-old Black man shot numerous times by the police following an attempted traffic stop and a chase last summer.

According to a police video that was made public, police chased Walker after he failed to stop, first in their cars and then on foot.  The police claimed they shot Walker because they believed he had fired a weapon from his automobile, and they were afraid he would do so again.

Walker had fired at least one shot at the police from his car but was unarmed when the police pursued him on foot and fatally shot him.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost spoke on the case saying, “He reached for his waistband in what several officers described as a cross-draw motion, planted his foot and turned toward the officers while raising his hand,” Yost claimed. “Only then did the officers fire, believing Mr. Walker was firing again at them.”

Authorities did not discover a gun on Walker, but one in the vehicle.

He said, “Two things I can say publicly that I do not like. Black History Month is an insult. You’re going to relegate my history to a month?” He continued, Also, ‘African American’ is an insult.

He added, Most Black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it’s a country when it’s a continent, like Europe.”

It was brought to Freeman’s attention that Denzel Washington once said, “I’m very proud to be Black, but Black is not all I am,” Morgan responded: “Yes, exactly. I’m in total agreement. You can’t define me that way.”

With so many nooks and crannies, cleaning your house from top to bottom can be an overwhelming task. Organizing expert Jeffrey Phillip and ‘Good Housekeeping’ Institute Cleaning Lab director Carolyn Forte are here to help.

Here are 10 of their expert tips on how to tackle your home’s dirtiest and most forgotten spots. :

1. Stop more dirt from entering your house by using two doormats at the front door; one on the inside and one on the outside.

2. Get rid of gross kitchen sink smells by running slivers of lemon rind and cold water through your garbage disposal.

3. Toss drapes, curtains and throw pillows in the dryer for 15 minutes on the “air-only” cycle to freshen them up.

4. Bring a bowl of water, lemon and vinegar to a boil in your microwave to steam clean any pesky stains.

5. Rub a halved lemon against your cutting board to get rid of food stains and smells.

6. Make stainless steel appliances sparkle by scrubbing them with a mixture of dish detergent and hot water.

7. Organize your cluttered junk drawer with a nonslip liner and repurposed plates and bowls to store odds and ends.

8. Freshen your shower drain by pouring a mixture of baking soda and table salt down it, followed by a cup of heated vinegar.

9. Don’t forget to utilize your extendable duster by tackling ceiling fans, hanging lights, moldings and more.

10. Quickly clean your child’s plastic toys by throwing them in the dishwater for a crystal or quick cycle, sans the heated dry.

Mo’Nique is fearless when it comes to her coins. She is now suing Paramount Pictures and CBS TV Studios after previously suing Netflix.

According to Deadline, Mo’Nique accuses the defendants of not sharing “The Parkers” sitcom revenue with performers. “Today we filed a lawsuit to make sure that we are fairly paid [the] money that we are owed for The Parkers,” wrote Mo’Nique on Instagram.

“Actors rely on the good faith of Hollywood companies to honor their profit participation agreements. The Parkers was a huge success and continues to be a source of revenue through syndication and streaming channels.” Mo’Nique continued saying,“The executive producers of The Parkers took legal action for the same concerns that I have, and they’ve already settled.”

She added, “To further make my point, the Executive Producers of ‘The Parkers’ took legal action for the same concerns that I have, and they’ve already settled. Stress Relief: The Benefits Of Laughter

Most have heard laughter is good for the soul. Noticing people that laugh can appear more youthful. Even the bible mentions the benefits of laughter.

Most have heard laughter is good for the soul. Noticing people that laugh can appear more youthful. Even the bible mentions the benefits of laughter. Proverbs 17:22 (NIV) says, “A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Laughter is a gift from God. Laughter is a great way to stay encouraged.”

Based on findings from mayoclinic.com  laughing isn’t the cure for health issues, but it does relieve stress. Laughter has both short and long-term benefits.

Some of the benefits consist of

  • Stimulate many organs.
  • Activate and relieve your stress response.
  • Soothe tension
  • Improve your immune system.
  • Relieve pain.
  • Increase personal satisfaction.
  • Improve your mood.

Here are some quotes to help remember it’s always good to have a laugh:

“Laughter heals all wounds, and that’s one thing that everybody shares. No matter what you’re going through, it makes you forget about your problems. I think the world should keep laughing.” -Kevin Hart

“A good laugh recharges your battery.” Anonymous
