Ciara, Russell Wilson Find a Colorado Home

After being traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos the couple had to find a place for their family to live

Ciara and her NFL QB husband Russell Wilson have found their Colorado home.

After being traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos the couple had to find a place for their family to live and they’ve set the record for the most expensive home ever sold in Denver.

The $25 million home in Denver is over 20,000 square feet, has four bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, and beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains.

As an added bonus for Russell, the new crib is only 20 minutes from Mile High Stadium, the home of the Denver Broncos, and where Russell will spend a lot of his time.

Ciara has admitted that the move had an unexpected impact on her career.

Denver has a high altitude which impacts one’s breathing.

So simple tasks like running up stairs or dancing or running are not so simple until your body adjusts to the altitude. While on The Late Late Show With James Corden she talked about how hard it was to rehearse for the Lovers and Friends show that took place in Las Vegas. During rehearsals in Denver she had to keep taking breaks.

But the advantage was when she got to Vegas and started performing she actually had extra wind because she had trained and conditioned at the higher altitude.

Have you ever been to Denver? Did you feel the difference in altitude?

What are features that must be in your dream home?

LeBron James Names His Top 5 Hip Hop Albums

Since LeBron James isn’t competing in the NBA championship games he has plenty of time to do Q&As on Twitter.  When asked to name his top five Hip-Hop albums of all time, LeBron answered, “The Chronic, Doggystyle, Black Album, Life After Death and ummm It Was Written. But I have so many more to name for real!” James also chose John Singleton’s classic Boyz N The Hood over Juice and The Alchemist as his favorite book.  He was also asked by one Twitter user why he doesn’t sign a music artist, in which he replied, “Cause I don’t have a record label. I just have a ear for great music.”
Do agree with LeBron’s top five albums of all time?

Buffalo Mass Shooting: Why are African Americans under attack?

A conversation about the continuation of mass shootings in the United States that target African Americans.

They continue to happen. Mass shootings in the United States. Specifically, killings that target African Americans. Ten people were murdered at a Buffalo grocery store this past weekend by an alleged white supremacist. Authorities believe the murders were sparked by a conspiracy theory that there is systematic plan to replace white people throughout the U.S. with people of color and Jews.

Why are African Americans under attack ?  And is the white supremacist movement being fueled by those seen as legitimate voices? That and more is part of our conversation tonight.

What’s Behind The Aggression When Attacking Public Figures…

Attacks on entertainers and athletes are escalating. Why and what can be done about it?

Something is going on, and it is not good.  More and more spectators are becoming part of the show.  At public events, athletes and entertainers have become targets of physical abuse.  Within the last weeks Dave Chappelle was attacked on stage.  A top NBA player’s family was physically accosted in the stands.  Fans are throwing things, even spitting on athletes.  And of course, though not a fan attacking an entertainer, the Will Smith attack on Chris Rock may have given fans encouragement to act out.   Tonight experts will share what is behind the aggression against public figures and if anything cab be done to curb it?

Buffalo Shooter Planned More Killings

The man accused in the mass killings in Buffalo planned more killings if not caught.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The white gunman accused of massacring 10 Black people in a racist rampage at a Buffalo supermarket planned to keep on killing if he had escaped the scene, the police commissioner said Monday, as the possibility of federal hate crime or domestic terror charges loomed.

The gunman, who had crossed the state to target people at the Tops Friendly Market, had talked about shooting up another store as well, Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia told CNN.

“He was going to get in his car and continue to drive down Jefferson Avenue and continue doing the same thing,” the commissioner said.

The commissioner’s account was similar to portions of a racist 180-page document, purportedly written by Payton Gendron, that said the assault was intended to terrorize all nonwhite, non-Christian people and get them to leave the country. Federal authorities were working to confirm the document’s authenticity.

Gendron, 18, traveled about 200 miles (320 kilometers) from his home in Conklin, New York, to commit the attack, police said. Authorities said he wielded an AR-15-style rifle, wore body armor and used a helmet camera to livestream the bloodbath on the internet.

He was arraigned on a murder charge over the weekend and pleaded not guilty. Federal prosecutors said they are contemplating hate crime charges.

Former Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield Jr., who lost his 86-year-old mother, Ruth Whitfield, in the shooting, asked how the country could allow its history of racist killings to repeat itself.

“We’re not just hurting. We’re angry. We’re mad. This shouldn’t have happened. We do our best to be good citizens, to be good people. We believe in God. We trust Him. We treat people with decency, and we love even our enemies,” Whitfield said at a news conference with civil rights attorney Ben Crump and others.

“And you expect us to keep doing this over and over and over again — over again, forgive and forget,” he continued. “While people we elect and trust in offices around this country do their best not to protect us, not to consider us equal.”

Whitfield’s mother was killed after making her daily visit to her husband in a nursing home.

“How do we tell him that she’s gone? Much less that she’s gone at the hands of a white supremacist? Of a terrorist? An evil person who is allowed to live among us?” Whitfield said.

The victims also included a man buying a cake for his grandson; a church deacon helping people get home with their groceries; and a supermarket security guard.

The bloodshed in Buffalo was the deadliest in a wave of weekend shootings, including at a California church and a Texas flea market.

Messages were left with Gendron’s attorneys Monday. No one answered the door at his family’s home in the morning, and relatives did not respond to messages.

Law enforcement officials said Sunday that New York State Police troopers had been called to Gendron’s high school last June for a report that the then-17-year-old had made threatening statements. The threat was “general” in nature and not related to race, Gramaglia said.

Gendron had threatened to carry out a shooting at Susquehanna Valley High in Conklin around graduation, according to a law enforcement official who was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Gramaglia said Gendron had no further contact with law enforcement after a mental health evaluation that put him in a hospital for a day and a half.

It was unclear whether officials could have invoked New York’s “red flag” regulation, which lets law enforcement, school officials and families ask a court to order the seizure of guns from people considered dangerous. Authorities would not say when Gendron acquired the weapons he had during the deadly attack.

Federal law bars people from owning guns if a judge has determined they have a “mental defect” or they have been forced into a mental institution. An evaluation alone would not trigger the prohibition.

The long list of mass shootings in the U.S. involving missed opportunities to intervene includes the 2018 massacre of 17 students at a high school in Parkland, Florida, where law enforcement officials had received numerous complaints about the gunman’s threatening statements, and the killings of more than two dozen people at a Texas church in 2017 by a former Air Force member who was able to buy a gun despite a history of violence.

At the White House, President Joe Biden, who planned a visit Tuesday to Buffalo, paid tribute to one of the victims, security guard and retired police officer Aaron Salter. Salter fired repeatedly at the attacker, striking his armor-plated vest at least once before being shot and killed. Biden said Salter “gave his life trying to save others.”

Authorities said that in addition to the 10 Black people killed, three people were wounded: one Black, two white.

Gendron researched the neighborhood’s demographics and conducted reconnaissance before the attack, investigators said. Mayor Byron Brown said the gunman “came here with the express purpose of taking as many Black lives as he possibly could.”

The gunman livestreamed the attack on Twitch, prompting scrutiny of how fast social platforms react to violent videos.

Portions of the video circulating online showed the gunman killing multiple shoppers in less than a minute. At one point, he trains his weapon on a white person cowering behind a checkout counter, but says, “Sorry!” and doesn’t shoot. Screenshots purporting to be from the broadcast appear to show a racial slur against Black people scrawled on his rifle.

Gendron surrendered to police who confronted him in the supermarket’s vestibule.

White Gunman Targets Black Shoppers at NY Supermarket

(Saturday, May 14, 2022) – A white gunman opened fire Saturday afternoon at a crowded supermarket in Buffalo, New York  killing 10 people and injuring three others while live-streaming with a helmet camera.  Police are calling the shooting racially motivated and say the gunman was an extremist dressed in military style clothing and was wearing body armor.

A majority of the victims were Black.  The gunman, identified as 18-year-old Payton Gendron of Conklin, is in custody.  At a news briefing Saturday, Erie County Sheriff John Garcia called the shooting a hate crime.  “This was pure evil.  It was straight up racially motivated hate crime from somebody outside of our community, outside of the City of Good Neighbors coming into our community and trying to inflict that evil upon us,” said Garcia.

Police say Gendron shot four people outside of the store and then moved inside the Tops Friendly Supermarket and opened fire.  One of the victims was a retired Buffalo police officer who was a security guard at the supermarket.  Authorities say the guard shot Gendron, but because the gunman was wearing body armor he was not hurt and was able to continue his shooting rampage.  11 of the 13 people shot were Black.

Chloe Bailey Says Beyoncé Made Her Feel Good About Her Body

“I feel sexy. I feel strong,” says Chloe.

Chloe Bailey recently revealed that it was Beyoncé and Jill Scott that made her feel good about her body.

“Hearing her sing ‘Bootylicious’ or seeing her perform on the BET [awards] made me feel calm about my body. Also, Jill Scott. She showed me another beautiful, full-figured, thick, sexy, curvaceous [woman]. And I was like, that is sexy. I’ve always had thick thighs and a butt.”

Bailey says people saying you have a big butt was “an insult,” back when she was younger, however now she doesn’t hide her curves, she embraces them and her butt is her favorite part of her body.

“I feel sexy. I feel strong,” says Chloe. As for men, Chloe says while she presents herself in music videos as sensual, she isn’t that way with potential suitors.

Elon Musk Says Twitter Deal Is ‘On Hold’

Musk’s announcement sent Twitter’s stock price tumbling 20% early Friday morning.

Elon Musk says his deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion is ‘on hold’ – for now, at least.
On Friday, Musk tweeted that he wanted “more details” on a report that fake accounts or bots make up less than 5% of active Twitter users.
Musk has previously said that getting rid of bots and spam would be a top priority once he takes over.
Musk’s announcement sent Twitter’s stock price tumbling 20% early Friday morning.
Is it possible that Musk has ‘buyer’s remorse’ and is looking for a way to back out of the deal? Or do you think Twitter’s bot problem is worse than the report indicates?

The album sold over a million copies. He followed it in 1994 with “Shaq Fu: The Return.” In 1996 Shaq released “You Can’t Stop The Reign,” featuring JAY-Z and Notorious B.I.G. His fourth album, “Respect” was released in 1998.

Do you think Shaq should come out of retirement? Who should he rap with?

Accusations Of Racial Profiling Of Delaware State Univ. Team

Accusations of racial profiling of Delaware State University lacrosse players.

Delaware State University, a historically Black institution, says its women’s lacrosse team was racially profiled by sheriff’s deputies last month during a traffic stop in Georgia.  The team’s bus was traveling on Interstate 95 in Liberty County, Georgia on April 20 following a game in Florida when it was stopped “under the pretext of a minor traffic violation, said Delaware State University President Tony Allen. Allen says Sheriff’s deputies searched student’s suitcases with drug-sniffing dogs.
Liberty County Sheriff William Bowman, who is black, says he does not believe the stop and search was racially motivated.  Video released by the school shows one of the two officers who entered the bus, telling passengers, “If there is anything in y’all’s luggage, we’re probably going to find it – OK. I’m not looking for a little bit of marijuana, but I’m pretty sure you guys’ chaperones are probably going to be disappointed in you if we find any.”
Delaware State’s president called the incident a “humiliating process” and said the university is “exploring options for recourse – legal and otherwise.

There is a new scam hitting phones that you’ll want to watch out for. The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center is warning people about a new text scam hitting their phones. It involves receiving a text about bank fraud alerts, possibly receiving a warning about being contacted by a “fraud specialist,” and being tricked into sending a transaction to the scammer. “In these schemes, background information on the victims appears to have been well researched,” said officials. “In addition to knowing the victim’s financial institution, the actors often had further information such as the victim’s past addresses, social security number, and the last four digits of their bank accounts.”

Have you ever fallen for a scam? What kinds of scam texts have you received?
