With her distinctive voice, appealing beauty, smoldering spirit and a heart with room enough for all, she’s internationally adored and a precious jewel of the Nation’s Capital. Angela Stribling has arrived at a place in her career akin to an Empress of Media. She has indelibly captivated eyes, ears and imaginations in her roles as Influencer, television host, radio broadcaster, eveningnews anchorwoman and voiceover professional. She is remembered for her class and grace served daily on Black Entertainment Television (BET). Angela's fans can hear during the wee hours of the morning as host of the sexy midnight radio program called Pillow Talk with Angela. Angela's talents know no bounds, she has already recorded two albums: the dynamic nightclub document Angela Stribling...Live (captured at the historic Blue Note in New York) and her studio recording from Tokyo, Japan (featuring special guest NAJEE on flute), a 9-song standards CD that is a luscious swing from Van Morrison’s “Moon Dance” to Horace Silver’s “Senor Blues!” Angela is also in training for her Private Pilot’s license, Angela Stribling is, literally, soaring to higher heights in all aspects of her amazing life. Angela Stribling is probably best known for her television career on BET as Host of Screen Scene, the network’s premier entertainment news show. She spent four years hosting Screen Scene before becoming an integral part of launching BET Jazz. For four years she, along with Ramsey Lewis and Lou Rawls, hosted Jazz Central; A nightly program, featuring performances and interviews with renowned jazz artists. During this time, she also hosted BET Jazz Discovery; A showcase of undiscovered jazz artists, and BET Jazz Scene; The only nationally broadcast jazz industry newsmagazine. In the early 90s, she was the Co-Host of On Time, a weekly magazine show focusing primarily on the African American community in Baltimore, Maryland on WJZ-TV 13 (CBS affiliate in Baltimore, MD). Prior to that, she was a reporter for Evening Magazine, a daily magazine program on WJZ-TV 13.

Stribling began her broadcast career as a news intern at WTTG-TV (Fox affiliate in Washington, DC) and WOL-AM Radio (Washington, DC). She held virtually every position in programming and sales at WOL Radio including sales management, on-air shifts, and voiceover production. The Washington community quickly responded to her warm, enthusiastic style and she soon landed a coveted air shift WHUR Radio. She has also hosted several syndicated programs for the American Urban Radio Networks. Her television career began after sitting in for a friend on a Washington, DC television program, Washington Style on Channel 50. She was telephoned by a Video Soul producer at BET and invited to audition. Stribling was hired immediately as a relief host. After two months, she was showcased as co-host of Screen Scene and become one of the on air pioneers on BET.

Stribling discovered her love for singing at the age of 4. Classically trained, she hones her jazz skills at various venues around the world including the world famous Blue Note in New York City. Angela has shared the stage with musical legends Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Kahn. She sang for President Bill Clinton and Robert De Niro at a fundraiser in New York City for Congressman Charles Rangel. Stribling’s love affair with Europe and Asia began in 2002 when Hennessy invited her as their jazz vocalist for one week of sold out performances in Myanmar (Burma) and later that year for their “Hennessy Smooth and Mellow International Jazz Tour.” Now, her tours include China, France, Holland, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, and Japan.


In radio, television, and music, Stribling has built an impressive career as a multimedia broadcaster and communicator. Stribling, who has appeared in several films and television shows, is one of the most sought after voices in the country. Her professional credits include national radio and television campaigns for Mercedes-Benz, Prudential Life Insurance, Time Life, Colgate Simply White Toothpaste, and Folgers Coffee.

Stribling earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising and Buying from the Fashion Institute. Hobbies include reading, listening to music, playing guitar, golfing, and flying. She is currently in training for a private pilot’s license. Stribling is single and lives in Chevy Chase, MD.
